dull dull dull dull

I live about 15 miles away from my university. When I have a meeting at 11am and say, two very important exams in the afternoon, I can’t pop home in between for a bite to eat and a reassuring bit of cramming in the luxury of my own home.
And so it is that I find myself sat in the newsroom (yes, we really do get to pretend to be real journalists) killing time until the scariest of scary exams this afternoon.
Wish me luck…

GOOD LUCK!
I could go home and relax a bit… but then there would be no way of making me return to uni!

hey. look who else has found this new place! didn’t realise you were doing NCTJ stuff. I went to Harlow College but somehow only ended up with an NVQ in Journalism. How you finding shorthand? I just refused to do it in the end, I was utterly shit! Hope the exams went well x

ooh, long time no see!
i’m not finding shorthand too bad – only thing is it’s two hours a day EVERY DAY and i get pissed off travelling all the way to nottingham to have some little old secretary type lady dictating crap at me. i’m at about 90 wpm now though so not far to go, thank god. once i’ve got my 100 i can stop going to classes.
all the other nctj stuff isn’t too bad – i took my law exams last week and my newspaper journalism and handout papers yesterday. apparently the national pass rate for those is about 20% so we’ll wait and see…
xx
